Watchsuntv.com Roku Link Activation Error
Your Watchsuntv.com subscription can be linked to your Roku box for simpler viewing than the traditional method from your computer. The issue I ran into few weeks ago was when my Roku box started having problems, so I contacted Roku support and they sent me a free replacement unit. When I first purchased my Roku box, I was able to link it to my Watchsuntv.com subscription within a few seconds.
But after I received my replacement Roku box and tried to link my subscription to it, I kept on receiving this error “Warning, Our system detected that this DEVICE ID is already REGISTERED to another user.” After some research I was able to figure out that Watchsuntv.com was still seeing my original Roku box and the replacement was registering as a “2nd unit” and by user policy you are only allowed 1 linked box.
After searching through all the account settings on my Watchsuntv.com account, there were no options to remove the original Roku link so I could activate the new unit. From past experience with customer service from Watchsuntv.com, I knew I wasn’t going to receive a timely response. But I went ahead and opened a support ticket at http://watchsuntv.com/helpdesk/.
After about 6 days I received a reply from customer support and they responded that my old Roku link was removed and that I could go ahead and activate my new unit. So I proceeded to try the steps again to activate the new Roku and within seconds was able to link it without any problems, and all my content has been streaming without any issues.
So I would advice anyone with this issue to go ahead and contact support at the above link and request to have any old activation links removed. Hopefully they add an option soon so that you can remove activation links by yourself and not have to contact support.
